Vicious Organization of Pimps Exposed in Atlanta (posted 22 April 2001)
This just in: Pimps are greedy, vicious, criminal motherfuckers who make their pay through the exploitation, abuse, torture, and outright enslavement of women. Well, duh.
Fortunately, after a major bust and the seizing of a revolting tape apparently used to help train
young girls being brought into prostitution, federal charges have been brought against a ring of 14 pimps in Atlanta. Better yet, they are not just going after them with charges of pimping (a misdemeanor in Georgia); they are slamming them with RICO charges.
Of course, the usual dynamics of It’s not our problem, it’s theirs
are going on, as the article totally fails to account for how our political economy drives girls and women into grinding poverty, how our epidemic of child rape provides an easy source of psychologically tormented and economically desperate young girls for pimps to prey on, how our pop culture glorifies pimps, how we either ignore or demonize women caught in the system of prostitution, how perfectly ordinary
men continue to pay the pimps to sustain the industry of prostitution, and so on ad nauseam. The only time any recognition of our wide-scale cultural responsibility for these kinds of horrendous crimes is allowed to creep in, is when it is in the mouth of the defendant for the pimps: All you have to do today is turn on MTV, turn on any radio station that plays music, and half the songs you hear are about being a pimp. It’s just a part of the culture.
True. Too bad that nobody will listen to this person, since he’s already been discredited by defending the pimps.

WELL AT ONE POINT I WAS GOOD FRIENDS WITH A PIMP KNOWN AS ATLANTA REDD. Pimp- meets a women and blows her mind sexually then mentally then brainwashes her into thinking she is nothing but a whore and sends her on missions to get money

First of all it’s not about the girls being “stupid” enough to give a pimp all of their money, what people fail to realize is that pimps are terrorists. they find out where they work, live, where thier family works and lives and then use their street credibility to threaten to harm the girls and their families if they do not do what they say. they put the girls in a financial twist from supposed money owed to them that was given in the honeymoon phase of the relationship and then they exploit them. Yes if you are going to sell yourself you should keep all of what you earn but at the same time game recognizes game, pimpin similar to the dope game says you can’t just go out there and start making money on corners without answering to somebody??? Take heed sweetheart never take up for a pimp they live by the rule that there are only two types of people in this world, pimps and the “pimped”. Never convince yourself you stand outside of this category in their eyes…

That said, I would just love to know what his/her story is.
Well, that’s for damned sure… I actually have a specific manifesto about that, for a long-percolating (or maybe it’s atrophying) collection, The Prostitution Poems, in which I confront the fiction that prostituted women, by and large, are able to retain their earnings; according to Pimp Law (and yes, pimps really do call it “pimp law”), that’s called going “renegade” and, in many markets, it’s just not permitted… is literally punishable by death (or, more profitably for the pimps, kidnapping and [re-]enslavement).
Hell yes, they’re terrorists.
