    Cline’s essay was interesting, but this stood out:

    If we compare the development of humans to the development of other great apes, we are extremely neotenous. We take longer to get through each developmental stage, particularly the stages of brain development. We have longer to learn, particularly to learn language. That said, the best learning environments are those which allow for curiosity, investigation, and experimentation, not those which cut it off.
