Here's a pretty old post from the blog archives of Geekery Today; it was written about 15 years ago, in 2009, on the World Wide Web.
Two things.
First, a shout-out on behalf of the ALL Ad Hoc Global Organizing Committee. Are you yourself, or do you know anybody who is, an individualist anarchist, agorist, mutualist, left-Rothbardian, or otherwise on the libertarian left, who happens to live in or nearby any of the following metropolitan areas?
Are you yourself, or is the ALLy that you know, interested in meeting like-minded people and getting (more) involved in local activism and organizing? If so, please drop me a line with your or their contact information. I have some requests from prospective local organizers who are looking for people to start locals for the Alliance of the Libertarian Left. I would love to be able to put interested ALLies in contact with each other.

I expressed my dismay at the nonchalance with which people talk about Plaxico Burress’s “gun crimes” and accept the police state we live in.
I managed to write something polite but critical about Ted Kennedy.
I finally finished the ALL anti-school zine, Liberating Learning. I also uploaded a pamphlet of Thoreau’s Civil Disobedience (Note: Thoreau doesn’t go around trying to get arrested. He just acts according to his conscience.)

Just finished an audiobook of Emma Goldman essays from Audio Anarchy (http://www.audioanarchy.org/emma.html). Includes a definition of anarchism, an attack on the prison system, and critiques of woman’s suffrage and the feminist movement up to that time.
I wrote a post (http://rmangum2001.wordpress.com/2009/08/29/anarchaos/) about a sci-fi paperback I found which is a dystopian nightmare of a world without government, called “Anarchaos”. In the minds of most people, those words are inseparable.
John, I couldn’t agree with you more. The notion of “crime” is inherently statist; we’re not going to be safe until we reach a point at which the only legitimate legal action is one that proves that the conduct it concerns was in principle harmful and that someone was actually harmed, and that uses the actual quantum of the harm as the proper measure of damages.
I spent entirely too much time on-line, devoting part of yesterday and today to drafting this blog post narrating the development of my political thinking over the past thirty years.
I haven’t written anything in about a month but I finally put something up just to break the downward spiral. It’s just a little blurb about some of the really shocking economic fallacies that find their way into mainstream editorials.
