Shameless Self-promotion Sunday #12
Here's a pretty old post from the blog archives of Geekery Today; it was written about 16 years ago, in 2008, on the World Wide Web.
Sorry that posting has been so thin for the past couple of weeks; I’ve been wrapping up a summer job teaching logic to gifted teenagers in Pennsylvania, which has been eating up the bulk of my personal time. But that comes to a close at the close of this week, so things should be picking up again around here soon.
In the meantime, what do you all have for me this week? You know the schtick: leave a link in the comments with a short description of a post you’ve written.

Sounds like an interesting gig you’re on there. Viva logic!
My major thing for the week is a deconstruction of the biblical story of Abraham and Isaac, also known as “the binding of Isaac” at Jehovah the demented freak

As I have my blog inactive since many months, I cannot say I wrote anything. But I saw a movie that I recomend strongly to all libertarians – and non libertarians- and that I think you will enjoy -since it deals with how cops have turned into paramilitary gangsters (in this case in black) -: Elite troop troop (about a special force of brasilean police trained to fight crime in the Rio Fabelas)

I watched an interesting documentary on HAARP Technology. It’s nice to know where some of that defense spending goes.

There have been an awful lot of natural disasters in too short a period of time. There have been major earthquakes in Iran, Pakistan, Indonesia, and China all during Bush’s term. It’s unusual, and it has tendency to make paranoid about large scale defense programs. I’m not making accusations, just questioning our everyday sense of the truth.
