Shameless Self-promotion Sunday: Gone A-Berrying Edition
Here's a pretty old post from the blog archives of Geekery Today; it was written about 12 years ago, in 2012, on the World Wide Web.
Hey y’all. It's Sunday Sunday Sunday. Let's get Shameless Shameless Shameless.
I have a couple things in the hopper that I’m just about ready to announce. But first I need to get out of the office; it’s Sunday morning and it’s April and there are blackberries and dewberries to be picked. So, more on that soon. In the meantime — how about you? What have you been up to this week? Write anything? Leave a link and a short description for your post in the comments. Or fire away about anything else you might want to talk about.

I’m finally back to the “gift economy of property” stuff, with a concise, updated statement of the basic thesis of the project and the first half of a blog-essay incorporating material from Proudhon’s The Celebration of Sunday into the mix. The second half of the essay is about half-written, so hopefully it will appear later today as well. I’m pretty excited about the way various details are finally coming together. I have some hope at this point that the argument can be more than just suggestive.
I terms of translation, I’m waiting on materials for a couple of big projects, but there’s a fun Louise Michel pamphlet near completion.

Ten days ago I wrote about the international “unschooling” survey conducted by psychologist Peter Gray and a colleague. All I really did was copy and paste from his three articles about it, so I’ll just paste the links to his articles. I think the philosophy and methods of homeschooling and unschooling are vital to a libertarian, anarchist, and general anti-authoritarian worldview and would therefore be very interesting to your readers and compatriots.

I’m delighted to have put Anarchy and Legal Order in the hands of the publisher. Copy-editing, cover design, work on blurbs–lots of challenges still await. But the biggest chunk of the work is complete!

I was struck by the incoherent viciousness of those saying that Breanna Manning should be killed and those of us who support her should be killed. So I wrote a brief rant on ‘The persecution of Breanna Manning and the incoherence of American Centrist ideology.’
