Shameless Self-promotion Sunday

It’s Sunday again. A day of love, a day of rage, a day of Shamelessness.

I just got back in and am trying to recover from doing the biggest Food Not Bombs food pickup I have ever seen, then rolling out immediately afterwards to do Food Not Bombs in the park on a day where the temperature is a brisk 110 degrees Fahrenheit. After I’ve taken about 4 more cold showers, I’m going to get packing — I’m off to the Alabama for two weeks visiting my kinfolks. (For fig-harvesting season, and for my 29th birthday, which happens to fall in the middle of it.)

How about you? What have you been up to this week? Write anything? Leave a link and a short description for your post in the comments. Or fire away about anything else you might want to talk about.

And I’m starting to really find my feet with the “Property is Impossible” series, with a post called “Take me to the river….

I’ve been linking more than writing, and not much of either, lately, but I thought this was pretty neat and encouraging: Competing currencies are being used fairly widely at small businesses in Michigan.

We spent much of Sunday hosting a movie mini-marathon: along with our guests (the ones you’d know were Scott Horton and Angela Keaton), we took in the three films of [Whit Stillman] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whit_Stillman)—*Metropolitan*, *The Last Days of Disco*, and *Barcelona*.

Hey Charles! We spent Sunday at the ocean, recovering from Saturday full of building, gardening, and chopping down trees. It was great to do nothing at all but read Tolstoy and soak up lots of sun and salty air.
